New Chief Data and Analytics Officer Announcement

Destination Canada is pleased to announce that Meaghan Ferrigno will be joining Destination Canada as Chief Data and Analytics Officer (CDAO) August 25, 2021.She will be accountable for Destination Canada’s data strategy to help maximize the competitiveness and resilience of the Canadian tourism sector. 

Meaghan brings an exceptional range of expertise in data-enabled competitive strategies and business agility. She is a certified CPA and CMA who holds an MBA in Management Technology from SFU’s Beedie School of Business as well as a PMP designation.   

Most recently, Meaghan was the Associate Vice President, Strategic Planning and Analytics with Pacific Blue Cross, where she provided leadership across a portfolio that spans Enterprise Strategic Planning, Enterprise Architecture, Enterprise Project Management Office (including Vendor Management), and Enterprise Analytics. Prior to that, she was the Director, Project Quality and Transformation Services at the BC Provincial Health Services Authority, where she oversaw a portfolio of clinical, business, and infrastructure initiatives.  

As we support the restart of our industry and compete for the world’s travellers, Meaghan will play a crucial role in how we optimize value from each market opportunity, and strengthen our domestic destinations, armed with the right information.
