Market Background

About a third of UK travellers visit Canada in the peak months of July and August. The biggest factor influencing their choice of travel destination are that it is a safe place to visit and offers outdoors experiences they are interested in. About 69% of UK travellers said they are likely to use a travel agent when booking a trip to Canada which is the lowest levels amongst Canada’s key long-haul target markets. Generally, UK travellers to Canada say they’d prefer to visit either as an independent touring trip with guided excursions (29%) or as a fully independent touring trip (28%).
